Due to the free economic policy, many multinational giants have and are entering the Indian market. They are launching newer and newer technologies, which are already popular and established in Western/Eastern countries. One of the trends is computerised colour matching system. This system has made available for any colours/shades that one can imagine. Suppliers have launched the system with the theme that, customer's demand is our wish. Considering the market trends and changes required to remain in competition, it is a herculean task to control huge data and keep track of the specifications to meet the customer's requirements. However, due to user friendly software with a high speed and accuracy, the computerised colour matching system has a wide application in the coatings industry. With these plus points, this technology is already popular abroad and is now beginning to make an impact in our country. This paper reviews the basics of the system, its benefits and the necessity in our country. |
