Titre : A new polyester resin for béta-hydroxyalkylamide powder coatings Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Daniel Maetens, Auteur ; Luc Moens, Auteur ; Luc Boogaerts, Auteur ; Kris Buysens, Auteur Année de publication : 1999 Article en page(s) : p. 26-33 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A carbonyl terminated polyester resin, of novel molecular composition , has been developed for use in powder coatings containing beta-hydroxyalkylamide ( HAA) type hardeners. The design of this new resin enables powders to be formulated that exhibit outsatnding flow without sacrificing other properties, such as acid rain resistance, or colour stability on overbake. Note de contenu : - Safe alternatives for TGIC
- All advantages are in one and the same polyester resin
- Low viscosity with an excellent hydrolysis/UV resistance is very difficult to design
- Reactivity only depends on the structure of the polyester
- The new resin should get outstanding flow with excellent corrosion and UV resistance
- Materials
- Formulations/ processing
- Flow curves
- Wave-scan measurements
- Corrosion resistance
- Weather resistance
- Overbaking/ gasoven resistance
- Flexibility
- Visco-elastic behaviour can be described using the storage and the loss modulus
- Flow behaviour and general appearance of " Primid XL-552" based powder coatings
- Flow behaviour and general appearance of "Primid QM-1260" basedf powder coatings
- The best flow is obtained with the new resin
- Degassing during curing
- New resin shows the lowest melt viscosity and the lowest reactivity
- New system shows hydrolytic stability
- Monomer composition does not prove any negative influence of UV-resistance
- Overbaking and gasoven resistance
- New resin is found to be as good as for the references considering mechanical propertiesEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kDUDSla0lmdozsrl2ssq4dbZuGE9T4xH/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=11187

Titre : Providing beauty and durability : Zinc and degassing-friendly powder combination protects steel Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Kris Buysens, Auteur Année de publication : 2005 Article en page(s) : p. 18-22 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Powder coatings - Galvanised steel fencing should look attractive and stay attractive. A degassing-friendly powder coating with the right rheological behaviour allows smooth, attractive coating to be achieved without pinholes/air bubbles on different types of galvanised steel without the need to preheat the substrate. An optimal protection is achieved when all steps of the process typical for a duplex system - galvanisation, pre-treatment and powder coating - are correctly done. The degassing-friendly powder coating described in this paper offers the desired protection in terms of corrosion and UV resistance when used in a duplex system. Titre : UV-curable powder coatings : A variety of applications Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Catherine Zune, Auteur ; Kris Buysens, Auteur Année de publication : 2000 Article en page(s) : p. 18-30 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Curing power coatings with UV light instead of heat opens up new possibilities for powder coatings in a wider range of applications. Thanks to the fast curing cycles and low temperature requirements, UV powders offer interesting benefits, including time, space, energy savings, high productivity and the possibility to work on heat-sensitive substrates. A range of resins especially for UV curable powder coatings has been developed . The coatings based on these offer a combination of attractive appearance and good protection on substrates such as Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and metal. Note de contenu : - Powder coating technology provides many benefits
- From thermosetting to UV curable powder coatings
- Specific benefits of UV curable powder coatings
- From chemistry until the application
- Study of UV curable powder formulations
- Huge variety of applications
- UV-curable powder coatings show many benefitsPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10995
