Résumé : |
The ink maker has to constantly adapt himself to changes initiated by the graphic arts industry. The digital revolution has transformed many aspects of our lives already and this transformation will continue. Not only will it continue, the rate of change will increase, as innovations multiply and new synergies develop
There are other developments taking place as well and I would like to present an overview on what I feel the ink industry has to face and how it will affect our future. I would like to concentrate on the following paints : Digital printing, plates, press design, print substrates, reduction or elimination of alcohol in offset printing, radiation curing inks, water washable offset inks, environmental concerns and cost considerations. |
