Polymérisation radicalaire controléeTags : 'Polymérisation réversible de transfert chaîne fragmentation d'addition' RAFT radicalaire par d'atomes inverse' RATRP 'Nitroxide Mediated Polymerization' NMP Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Controlled/living radical polymerization (CRP), namely RAFT/MADIX, NMP, ATRP, and reverse ATRP, are among the most rapidly developing areas of chemistry and polymer science. However such extraordinary scientific development of CRP contrasts with the very limited number of commercially available products derived from these technologies. The present review tries to connect the basics of CRP as a tool to develop commercial products and also its commercial status. The overview of patent literature, conference proceedings, research papers and technical data sheets of commercial products. The advantages and disadvantages are given for the different CRP techniques, the CRP processes face many of hurdles (depending on the type of CRP), that must be overcome and reduce the time to market for polymer products compared to mature existing technologies. In spite of its slow development, CRP is seen as a revolutionary method to produce precisely controlled, next generation specialty polymer additives and materials.

Because these paints combine the special properties of mineral and of polymer-bound coatings, they protect facades reliably for a long time. Moreover, their water permeability, low water abrosption tendency & good aesthetic look due to silicone resin emulsion, offer compelling advantages for the design of facades in the private, public and industrial sectors or for the conservation and repair of historic buildings under preservation order. Note de contenu : Silicone resin emulsion paints / SREP technology / A functional network is created in the construction material.
- SREP PROPERTIES : Functional facade protection retains a building's value / Excellent protection against wetness / Dry facades prevent algae / Facades that can breathe / Long-lasting facade protection saves renovation costs.
- WEATHERING RESISTANCE : Facades keep their color / A permanently attractive facade.
- SIMPLE & FAST PROCESSING : Easy to over paint / Fast and efficient / Solvent free & ecologically more sound / Extremely stable and non-chalking.
- TEST METHODS : Certified quality.Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10605

Revêtement en plastiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : "Next generation paint packaging", article is all about the latest development in the field of packaging. This article walks us through the water soluble plastics to PET coated steel. With these two developments, paint packaging in India can break the ice. These packaging materials are far superior from conventional ones and are easy to handle.
With the development of such packing materials, the door to recycling packaging materials and minimize waste generation.
Water-soluble plastic is manufactured from polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a biodegradable material. They are of two types cold water and hot water soluble plastics when dissolved in water, the water-soluble film breaks down to carbon dioxide and water. They have excellent resistance to oil, grease & gases but poor resistance to highly acidic and basic products. They are non toxic in nature. With all these known properties, how it can be used in paints has been briefed. This article is an insight to pack paint in flexible packaging is a challenge. This challenge can be overcome by use of polymer coated steel. This development is very much different from the conventional lacquers and has a superior performance. Polymer coated steel is coated with polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The thickness of the coating is 10-15 mic and works well with all sheet thickness. The biggest advantage of PET coated steel would be a holographic container that can be made.
With these two next generation packaging developments, the door can be open for innovative packaging. Let's create a difference with packaging.Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10613
