Résumé : |
Bisphenol-A epoxy resin have certain inherent drawbacks. the limitation could be overcome by replacing them with multifunctional epoxy resins such as epoxy phenol novolac (EPN) and epoxy cresol novolac (ECN) resins. Synthesis and characterization of EPN and ECN has been discussed. ECN resin were observed to be much superior so that a comprehensive study was made of the various coating properties such as drying time, hardness, adhesion, gloss, flexibility, skinning tendency, corrosion, impact-resistance and chemical resistance of cresol novolac epoxy cured with polyamide resin. |
