Résumé : |
Rosin modified ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, when present with styrene as a comonomer in an isophthalic polyester resin, has been shown to produce extended gel times and time to reach peak exotherm without affecting tensile strength, tensile modulus, flexural strength, flexural modulus and heat deflection temperature of the resin. Similarly, mechanical properties of the same resin reinforced with fiber glass woven rovings including wet strength retention after 3 hours boil test were also not affected. |
