Esterified epoxy-amine adducts with linseed fatty acids were prepared by reacting epoxy-amine-adduct and linseed fatty acids in different proportions. The used epoxy-amine adduct was synthesized from epoxy resin and diethanol amine in molar ratio 1:1. The pigmented coating compositions for cathodic electrodeposition were prepared by using different esterified epoxy-amine adducts with linseed fatty acids, separately. Film properties of cathodic electrodeposited coating compositions were studied and it was found that the coating compositions having 10% and 15% esterified epoxy- amine adducts showed good film properties. |
