Non-aqueous dispersion are usually dispersions of acrylic resin in aliphatic solvents, which is often a solvent for monomer but not for polymer are termed as NADS. They tend to be high in molecular weight but because they are dispersions, low in viscosity hence coatings with high film build can be obtained. Non-aqueous dispersion system is more eco friendly and cheaper as compared to the solvent process. |
