Tannage Résumé : In this study, extraction of pinus brutia bark is performed using a new extractor-diffuser system. This new extraction system uses a moving bed of bark which is continuously washed with fresh solvent sprayed from mobile spray nozzles. To confirm the performance of the Gülbaran extractor for extraction of P. brutia bark, the effects of extraction temperature, residence time, solvent/raw material ratio and particle size on the tanning yield were investigated.
The bark used in this study was obtained from Kütahya/Aegean region of Turkey. The average tanning content of the bark was determined to be 19.64% on a dry basis.
The experiments performed showed that the optimum extraction conditions are 180 min. extraction time, 0,65-0,75 mm particle size, 6 kg raw material ratio and 95°C solvent temperature. In the batch experiments the bark of P. brutia leached in hot water yielded 94.56% of the tanning. The resultant extract in this system was more dilute than that produced by some multicell extractors, thus requiring more evaporator costs.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1enD0GxHbYi9JqIkTdNfdmBzD5z13gZZf/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8615

Tannage Résumé : In this work, the extraction of tannin from Turkish valonia was studied using water, in a new type of extractor. This new extraction system uses a bed of ground valonia which is continuously washed fresh solvent sprayed from mobile spray nozzles. This extractor was developed by Emir GÃœLBARAN in a pilot-plant scale. The effects of 1) extraction time, 2) solvent-to-raw-material ratio and 3) average particle diameter of valonia on extraction yield are determined for the GÃœLBARAN extractor.
The experimental results showed that the optimum extraction conditions are 180min. extraction time, 10.5kg. solvent/kg. raw material and 0.95 mm particle size. In these experiments valonia extracted in hot water yielded 93.15% of tannin.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t3nUvxdkgEEgFqisyIa1vGWwk_hhVXpZ/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=8591
