Résumé : |
The coatings are mainly used for two reasons namely aesthetics and protection. Corrosion resistant coatings protect through a combination of two mechanisms. By acting as a physical barrier to exclude the environment and by containing reactive materials : (usually) pigments that solubilize or react in a manner that inhibits corrosion or slows the binder aging characteristics. The reason for the failure of coating can be categorized in terms of environmental effects through moisture and oxygen transmission, solvent resistance and chemical as alos through improper application. |
