Résumé : |
All the plastics are high polymer materials that can be formed shaped or molded. These can be both thermoplastics as well as thermosets. Because of their inherent nature, diversity, varied chemical composition and physical properties, coatings for plastics offer a unique challenge.
The plastics are painted either to enhance their functional properties or to provide decorative effects. Functionally they are coated to improve weatherability, abrasion and chemical resistance and to preserve their mechanical properties. In some cases they are coated for ergonomic reasons or to provide special effects such as low gloss coatings to reduce glare and soft feel coatings. |
