Sun light, also called sunshine or solar radiation is capable of producing heat, causing chemical reactions, or generating electricity. The earth's atmosphere and its clouds absorb or scatter as much as 54 percent of all incoming sunlight and the remainder only reaches the earth. Sunlight consists of visible light, ultra-violet light and infrared (IR) radiation. |
