Biogas is considered a renewable fuel, domestically produced and free of carbon emissions, while molten carbonate fuel cells are ultra-clean and highly efficient power generators. In this paper, we study the economic viability of a fuel celle (considering capacities from 300kW to 1200kW) operating on biogas. The results are based on Spanish legislation, which establishes a special feed-in tariff bor biogas and cogeneration. Paybacks range from 5.7 to 8.5 years depending on the fuel cell capacity. Due to the high investment and operating and maintenance cost, the Spanish feed-in tariff for cogeneration using biogas is not enough to make the project economically viable in a short-term. Further fuel celle price reduction and longer lifetime as well as new government subsidies are required. FormaldéhydeIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A new simple and sensitive reverse flow injection chemiluminescence (FI-CL) method is described for the determination of formaldehyde. The method is based on the CL-Emitting reaction between ninhydrin and potassium permanganate in hydrochloric acid medium, enhanced by formaldehyde (HCHO). The calibration curve is linear in the range of 0.002 to 10µg ml-1 with r=0.9995, and the limit of detection is 4.6 x 10-4µg ml-1. The relative standard deviation for replicate measurements is 1.5 % for 4µg ml-1 of formaldehyde. The chemical and flow injection variables were studied and optimized to make the procedure suitable for determination of formaldehyde in water. It is shown that the reverse flow injection analysis could greatly improve the sensitivity and precision for determination of formaldehyde. The procedure has been applied successuflly to the determination of formaldehyde in leather wastewater, and the results were statistically compared with results determined by a standard method. These were : Clostridium spp., Bacillus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Micrococcus spp., Aerococcus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Gamella spp., Lactobacillus spp., Acinetobacter spp., Klebsiella spp., Listeria spp., Neisseria spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysepelothrix spp., and Pseudomonas spp. Only one Streptococcus appeared on normal sheep skin. Bacillus spp., seemed more like the normal flora on the skins. Clostridium spp. appeared most frequently ; both on normal and diseased skins - appearing more on the latter and giving fillip to its being considered to be a near universal pathogen - skin residents becoming opportunistic with trauma. These caused ante-mortem damage to the skin and leather ; ultimately turning them into rejects. The study helps us to recommend efective animal husbandry with adequate prophylactic measures for Nigerian livestock, thus stemming serious economic losses.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UY4MK53L3s_NXfKfdEHsvF6pEZAxsV_5/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9623

The results indicated that the surface energy of a film of this latex was as low as that of PTFE (i.e. 18.5mN/m) by contact angle measurement. The water repellency of the film made from a polyurethane dispersion blended with the fluorinated core-shell latex was remarkably increased. When applied in leather finishing, a coat with excellent wet rub fastness was obtained showing the great effectiveness of the low surface energy fluorinated acrylate core-shell latex applied as a top coat additive to improve wet rub fastness performance. Although this type of cross-linker is employed in sectors other than the leather industry, it can be used in finishing processes. A comparison of results indicates that such cross-linkers presents a better cross-linking reaction rate than polyaziridine, polyisocyanate, epoxy resin and polycarbomdiimide. PolycarbodiimideTags : 'Finition du cuir' Polycarbodiimide 'Résine acrylique' 'Vitesse de réticulation' Tannage/retannage Index. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : In the current economic climate leather factories need to redesign their processes to add value to their production in order to increase their competitiveness. In this respect, the use of a cross-linker opens up opportunities for the leather industry to obtain both high performance and eco-friendly articles. This study explores the cross-linking reaction between a polycarbodiimide and both acrylic resins and polyurethanes.
A comparison of results shows that polycarbodiimide is a very selective cross-linker since it presents both different reticulation speeds and different cross-linking reaction rates depending on the type of binder employed. In addition, and depending on the type of tanned/retanned leather used, different amounts of polycarbodiimide are required in order to obtain optimum results.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bSzugBa6E16r4BGKvwUEpGKzb_VQEC4n/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=9626

TannageIndex. décimale : 628.5 Pollution et hygiène industrielle Résumé : In order to control the pollution of nitrite, a sample, accurate and sensitive reverse reference flow injection analysis (ffRIA) spectrophotometric method for determination of nitrite in tannery effluent is proposed. In acid conditions, nitrite with sulfanilamide is diazotized, and then the diazo material is coupled with N-1-naphthyl ethylenediamine hydrochloride (NEH) to form a red product. The absorbance of the complex compound is measured at 540nm. Chemical factors and rrFIA variables affecting the system are also discussed. Under the optimal conditions, the linear range of this method was 0-50.0 g l-1 ; the detection limit was 0.03 g l-1 ; the relative standard deviation was 0.844 %. This method was suitable for automatic and continuous analysis, and successfully applied to determine the content of nitrite in tannery effluent.
