Tannage au chromeIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Comparing the electrolysis results of a chromium sulphate standard solution with cation and anion membranes, it was found that electrolysis with the cation membrane could remove more chromium. After electrolysis with the cation membrane of the mixed waste liquid containing chromium from chrome tanning, washing, chrome retanning and neutralisation, Cr(OH)3 could be precipitated, the Cr3+ solution showed a reduced concentration at the cathode, and a Cr6+ solution could be obtained at the anode. The results of this study show that cyclic electrolysis of such liquid waste containing chromium at the cathode can increase Cr(OH)3 precipitation and reduce the Cr6+ concentration at the anode. Poly(3,4-éthylènedioxythiophène)
Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) was electrosynthesized on nickel electrodes from aqueous micellar solutions of sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) containing sodium saccharin or sodium perchlorate as supporting electrolytes. The choice of the aqueous medium for the preparation of PEDOT is mainly dictated by its relevant interest on the economic and ecological fronts. The electrodeposition of the organic coating was achieved using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry and chronopotentiometry. This latter electrochemical method proved to be the most suited to the preparation of homogeneous and adherent PEDOT films. Elsewhere, the presence of SDBS micelles in the electrolytic medium led to an improvement of the monomer solubility and a notable decrease in its oxidation potential. Furthermore, spectroscopic and microscopic characterization techniques revealed regular and compact nodule-like structure of the coating and proved the increase in its doping rate when increasing the electrosynthesis current density. On the other hand, in order to discuss the potential application of the prepared conducting polymer as protective layer against corrosion, several electrochemical tests were performed, using open circuit potential (OCP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. OCP curves have shown a slight increase in the potential toward more positive values, while the EIS measurements have given a 90° capacitive line indicating the pure capacitive behavior of the polymeric system and have proven the presence of a fast charge transfer at the metal/polymer and polymer/solution interfaces. Poly(3,4-éthylènedioxythiophène)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) coatings have been electrochemically prepared on stainless steel (SS) in acetonitrile and aqueous media, respectively, by the cyclic voltammetry technique. The corrosion behavior of the coated SS was evaluated in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution using anodic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, which demonstrate that the polymer coatings are able to mitigate the corrosion of the SS substrate in chloride solution. PEDOT works as the electron exchange medium to passivate the SS underneath and reduce the oxygen on the surface. By comparing the performances, it was clear that PEDOT electrodeposited from an aqueous solution can afford better corrosion inhibition capability. Surfaces de réponse (statistique)Index. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : In the present investigation, a novel rotating disc electrochemical reactor has been developed to treat Methyl Orange dye effluent. Stainless steel and ruthenium oxide-coated titanium electrodes were used as cathode and anode, respectively. A statistical tool of the Box–Behnken method has been used to design the experimental run and optimisation. The combined effect of the operating parameter on the efficiency of the process has been critically examined. A quadratic model for reduction of chemical oxygen demand has been developed. A maximum of 96% chemical oxygen demand removal was observed under optimum conditions. The degradation mechanism was studied by ultraviolet–visible spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform–infrared and high-performance liquid chromatography. From the present investigation, it has been observed that dyehouse effluent can be effectively treated using the novel electrochemical reactor. Travail de rivière (cuir)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The cleaner production of leather has attracted the world's attention, in that much effort has been made in many aspects such as substitution of chemical materials, recycling of waste water, process or equipment modification etc. in light of the structure and characteristics of the usual suspended drum the electrochemically assisted drum used here was prepared by introducing electrodes on bath sides of the drum. Taking the NaCI from the rawhide as a supporting electrolyte, C10- was used simultaneously as a source of oxidants in the electrochemical treatment. Based on cow hair oxidation experiments the electrochemical parameters were referenced and used for treating the liquid baths in the beamhouse. Comparing the COD, TKN and 52- contents in liquid baths both with and without electrochemical treatment the results show that values for all of the parameters were decreased signilicantly. The water usage and NaCI concentration met the needs of the emission abatement aims. Performed in the same way as common beamhouse processing, this experiment had other cleaner functions low sulphur, reduced lime and hair-saving. The pH, temperature and rotation speed of drum of the floats liquid baths have been examined.
