Just imagine the world without color ; like life without air. Paint a well known subject to mankind for Coloring, Decorating, Identification, Signaling from thousands of years. The fast changing technology has improved everything, Paint is not untouched. There are many folds advancement in paints too, than when it was invented. Many projects are going on to improve its applicability further. The researchers in paint industries have introduced the concept of nano-technology in paint manufacturing and application. New type of paint that acts as semiconductor diode (PN junctions for the producing electricity from solar radiation has been introduced. This paper discuss the various parameters involved in the manufacturing, testing and application of paint ; the trends followed and technology used in paint industries are also discussed. A brief discussion of the research work going on in this field along with future aspect is given along with Indian paint market scenario. |
