Résumé : |
Powder coating systems with film thicknesses of < 50 pm have been repeatably produced for the white goods segment of the market. No less than 30% of the quantity of titanium dioxide normally used was replaced with materials of differing particle sizes and particle-size distribution widths. High-quality standard materials act as genuine extenders and do not modify the properties of the paint system in any way. Finer-particled products make a positive contribution to hiding power, gloss and mechanical properties. An extra functionality is added to the system in this context, depending on particle size, but does have its practical limitations, with respect to rheological characteristics. |
