Résumé : |
Competitive pressure in today’s global marketplace has forced U.S. Companies to examine the ISO 9000 Series International Quality Standards. Businesses considering the ISO 9000 certification process must first understand the standards and how they relate to their organization. Some suppliers are being forced to obtain certification by their customers to compete. Other companies may not see an immediate need for designing a quality system based upon the ISO 9000 quality standards.
Speculation on the value of certification continues to be a point of debate with many varied opinions. A real pay off for companies who have sough certification is the assembly of a quality system based on the ISO 9000 standards. One should evaluate the advantages of a quality system designed to meet these standards.
The intent of this paper is to share our experience on how the standards can most benefit you and your organization.
