The effect of flame retardant phosphatized amino resin based flame retardant on wood specimens treated with various concentrations was examined by weight loss method. As the retention of resin became higher, the char formed rapidly on wood surface, providing thermal barrier over the surface of wood and also stopping the gas flow. Specimens were impregnated with vacuum impregnation method. The treated specimens were subjected to 350°C. |
