Résumé : |
Film formation is a process to convert fluid paints, spread over a substrate to be coated, into solid coatings with required service characteristics. Mass and heat exchange, frequently accomplished with chemical reactions inside the film and across interfaces, phase transformations, etc. spontaneous process shape of coating structure and predetermine coating properties. Control of film formation, allowing realization of entire potential coating performance, predetermined by the composition of the paint used, requires adequate picture of the major colloid processes involved. This paper is for colloid aspects of film formation in homophase binders.
