Résumé : |
Solvent based non-yellowing 2K polyurethanes nowadays offer the best combination of properties for the production of high quality coatings. Due to their flexibility, gloss retention and weather resistance, polyurethane coatings are used all over the world in a variety of applications. A number of different hydroxylated resins are available to produce coatings with property profiles ideally suited for specific requirements. Environmental considerations and national legislations impose a continuous reduction of solvent emissions. So both resin producers and paint manufacturers are confronted with those new regulations and the necessity to adjust their production to new stipulations. In this study, it will be demonstrated how the solvent content of a PU formulation can be influenced by the correct choice of a polyisocyanate hardener. |
