Finally it can be said that the claim that sodium aluminium silicate tanning represents a new, innovative and proven tanning system is fully justified, as was shown by the tests.
On the other hand it is clear that much work will have to be carried out on this system before it is fully mature. At the current state of its development it is not yet capable of replacing chrome tanning in all areas of leather production. However, it is our opinion that tanning with sodium aluminium silicate - Coratyl G - offers sufficient variation options and ecological benefits to enable it to be developed into an interesting and economic tanning system. |
