Résumé : |
Adhesion is a phenomenon of holding together two bodies (phases) by intimate interfacial molecular contact. Such contact is based before all on physical effects (provided by intermolecular forces) and may include chemical bonding in the interface. Since both intermolecular forces and chemical bonds are relatively short range (a few angstrem), formation of efficient adhesion interfaces require good wetting, favorable near-substrate rheology, adsorption of active molecules onto film-substrate interface and possibly their chemical interaction, and a minimal presence of contaminants on the interface. A combination of ground selected adhesion promoter and suitable substrate wetting agent in a single coating formulation is normally the best answer to many adhesion problems. |
