Résumé :	Three lawsuits involving fires and the paint industry are described. The threat is real, and must be dealt with in several ways. First of all, there is the lab testing to characterize the threat. Secondly, there are the labelling issues that warn the user. Since common sense does not seem as common as it might, the threat must be dealt with.
