The evolution of legislation towards the reduction of VOC's led to the development of high solids coatings, soon followed by the development of the first two-pack water-borne polyurethane coatings. This paper provides an overview of the main aspects of formulation of waterborne polyurethane coatings as well as raising some questions before a project is started in such an area of research. |
