There is a wide range of analysis techniques available for the determination of the through-curing of UV-curable coatings. But all these highly sophisticated methods can only be performed by specialists. Especially, quality assurance departments are looking for a method that can be applied as directly as possible in-line, in the coating and printing process, and which is in particular easy to handle. The ion mobility spectrometry can be regarded as such a method as this article shows. Besides describing this method examples are given on its use in different printing processes. |
