Résumé : |
Heterogeneous structures are very common in coatings. Majority of coatings are multicoat systems, built up with a few layers of different materials even comprising a greater number of open, as well as locked and developed interfaces. Typically decorative, protective and special coatings are based on homogeneous polymer matrixes, however the use of heterogeneous polymer matrixes (polymer/polymer composites) for industrial coatings is expanding. Coatings filled with pigments and extenders are essentially heterogeneous and possess many features of composites. |
Note de contenu : |
- macro-heterogeneous coating structures
- Adhesion : Coating adhesion - Intercoat adhesion
- Phase modification : Properties inherent to heterophase structures - Pigments and extenders as phase modifiers - Phase modification mechanisms - Filling level - May we consider pigmented coatings composites ? - Minor phase modifiers
- Heterogeneous binder structures : Nonhomogeneous-in-layer and gradiental coatings - Self-stratifying coatings - Multicolor paints
- Organic polymer/inorganic binder combinations : Silicate paints, polymer-ceramics and polymer-cements - Metal-filled coatings |
