Electromagnetic radiation is like pollution. As we are moving towards lead free alternative in paints to save our next generation from its harmful effects, it is high time to think about radiation sheilding paints. Harmful effects of electromagnetic radiation on humans as well as on electrical equipments are a matter of concern. Several studies have been done on the effects of electromagnetic interference.
Coating industry has an important role to play as electromagnetic radiation shielding coatings are becoming popular. Coatings available for masonry as well as electrical and electronic products particularly in the fields of communications, information technology, transportation, safety and medical applications have been briefly reviewed in this paper. |
