Résumé : |
Photoinitiators are essential for the efficient transformation of the light energy for obtaining species (free radicals or stabilized triplet excited state) that are capable of initiating the curing reactions of photopolymerisation. Present review, which is second in the series on UV cure coatings, covers structure, activity, and basis of selection criteria of unimolecular cleavage, physical properties, coating characteristics and applications of benzoin and its derivatives, benzilketals, acetophenones, α-aminoalkylphenones, α-hydroxy alkylphenones, acylphosphine oxide and their derivatives have been presented. In addition, few new commercial photoinitiators, launched during last vew decades, have been evaluated for their role in enhancement of curing efficiency. |
