Résumé : |
As ecological concerns have boosted interest in making coating industry ecofriendly, the future of green technology is bright. VOC regulations remain a top priority for the coating formulators. The effort to comply with ever-changing VOC regulations with no compromise on performance has created challenges for all chemists in the coating industry. Along with VOC there are strict regulations implemented regarding the use of lead. The following section covers need for changing towards greener technology, possible ways to go green, and hurdles faced while achieving it.
Green is not only for good business, but also for the betterment of mankind. Government initiatives may eventually encourage or even mandate that all manufacturers shift towards implementing green technologies. Thus, in the not too distant future, the green trend would become the rule rather than the exception. |
