Résumé : |
This paper examines the various accelerated tests for weathering of waterbased coatings and compare them to natural weathering data. It is also the attempt to shed some light on the concept of yellowing of waterbased coatings and address whether there is a substantial difference between straight- and styrene-acrylate based coatings. The evidence to support the popular believe that coatings based on styrene-acrylate dispersions have a tendency to yellow more than that of coatings based on straight acrylic dispersions is inconclusive. |
