Industrial parquet is most commonly sealed with UV-curing coatings. These coatings have to meet severe requirements, in particular with respect to their adhesion and abrasion properties. As this article shows, the abrasion performance of topcoats can be improved with low viscosity urethane acrylate resins, that require less reactive thinner, and with optimised corundum fillers. Better adhesion can be achieved, on the other hand, with dual-cure primers based on UV-curing urethane acrylates containing free NCO groups and waterbased urethane modified polyester acrylates. |
