A recent contract demonstrated the power and utility of statistical concepts and tools. For the coatings specialist and the microbial specialist the experimental information was gathered with economy and efficiency, and statistical data analysis gave new insights that otherwise would not have been found in the experimental results. The purpose of this paper is to show, by means of examples from the results of the contract, the range of statistical methods that were used, and how they were applied in laboratory and field experimental work. |
