Résumé : |
The use of epoxy resin for high performance coating applications was restricted mainly due to its deficient characteristics like poor Impact strength, high rigidity and high moisture absorbing nature. The deficient characteristics can be avoided by the incorporation of siloxane in to the epoxy skeleton by interpenetrating polymer network mechanism (IPN) there by enhancing its properties ideally suitable for high performance anticorrosive and antifouling coating applications. |
