Produits de nourriture du cuirIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : With the implementation of Carbon Neutralization strategy, it is urgently needed to develop low-carbon leather chemicals through replacing petrochemicals with biomass-based raw materials in leather industry. To solve the problems existing in the leather fatliquored by the biomass-based fatliquoring agents made from vegetable oils with high unsaturation, such as poor storability, unpleasant odor, yellowing and possible formation of hexavalent chromium, the strategy was put forward, improving the oil saturation through the double bonds addition reaction with halogen to solve the abovementioned problems resulting from the poor oxidation resistance of oil, and increase the binding ability of the oil with leather fibers and endow the leather with flame-retardant simultaneously. In this paper, the methods of modified rapeseed oil by bromine addition and its fatliquoring and flame-retardant properties were studied. The results showed that the bromine addition reaction of rapeseed oil was easy to proceed and the iodine value of the modified oil decreased almost linearly with the added amount of bromine. The binding and antioxidant properties of the oil and the physical properties of the fatliquored leather were significantly improved with the increase degree of bromination modification. Furthermore, above mentioned unpleasant odor, yellowing and hexavalent chromium formation problems were effectively solved when the iodine value of modified fatliquors was reduced to 31 g I2/100 g. Additionally, brominemodified rapeseed oil could endow leather with good flame-retardant properties and the fatliquored leather was changed from combustible to flame-retardant material with the increasing amount of bromine in the oil. The limit oxygen index (LOI) increased from 24% to 31%, the flame combustion time decreased from 127.0 s to 4.3 s, and the flameless combustion time decreased from 28.5 s to 0.0 s. This study provided an effective way to develop biomass-based and low-carbon fatliquors based on natural unsaturated oils. Température de retraitIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Chrome tanning is widely used in the tanning process ; however, it can cause environmental pollution. Leather tanned with epoxy resin was considered as a more environmentally friendlyprocess, but it takes as long as five days for reaction, and results in poor performance of leather. The aim of the present study was to tan leather collagen with a carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin, which was thought to be an eco-friendly tanning process and the reaction time was shortened to 12h. The reaction between carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin and leather collagen can be divided into two stages, the reaction of epoxy group with leather collagen and the reaction of carboxyl group with leather collagen. The influences of tanning conditions (medium pH, epoxy resin amount and reaction time) on the properties of tanned leather were also discussed. In the first stage, the epoxy group was reacted with leather collagen in basic conditions. The results showed that the carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin could better penetrate into the leather fibers when the pH value was 8.5, and the best effect of tanned leather collagen was found using reaction condition of pH 7.0. In the second stage, it was the reaction of carboxyl group to leather collagen in acid conditions, and the best effect was found under the condition of pH was 3.5. Meanwhile, it provided a better tanning effect when the carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin amount was 6% and the reaction time was 12h. The chrome-less tanning process that carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin combination with 3% chrome was studied. The results showed that the hydrothermal stability and strength properties of leather tanned by carboxyl-functionalized epoxy resin with 3% chrome were close, even superior, to those of the leather produced by conventional chrome tanning with 8% chrome. SiliceLa silice est la forme naturelle du dioxyde de silicium (SiO2) qui entre dans la composition de nombreux minéraux.
La silice existe à l'état libre sous différentes formes cristallines ou amorphes et à l'état combiné dans les silicates, les groupes SiO2 étant alors liés à d'autres atomes (Al : Aluminium, Fe : Fer, Mg : Magnésium, Ca : Calcium, Na : Sodium, K : Potassium...).
Les silicates sont les constituants principaux du manteau et de l'écorce terrestre. La silice libre est également très abondante dans la nature, sous forme de quartz, de calcédoine et de terre de diatomée. La silice représente 60,6 % de la masse de la croûte terrestre continentale.

Tannage Résumé : The task of producing garment leathers from goatskins is challenging owing to the compactness of the corium and the roughness of the grain surface, thus, to achieve the characteristics of garment leathers made from hair sheepskins, the choice of tanning system is critical. Treatment with silicates produces leathers, which have good softness and fluffiness. Since silica does not give the desired shrinkage temperature; chromium has been incorporated in the tanning agent.
In this present study, a new chrome-silica tanning agent has been prepared to make garment leathers from goatskins with sheep-like characteristics. This tanning agent exhibits additional benefits because of its chrome saving approach. The percentage exhaustion of chrome is increased from a conventional 70 % to 90 % and analysis of spent tan liquor shows reduction in TDS and COD values. The leathers made with this tanning agent are soft, have smooth grain and fluffiness. A hairsheep-like character results from tanning goatskins with this new eco-friendly chrome-silica tanning agent.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES :

Sulfate de tétrakis hydroxyméthyl phosphoniumLe sulfate de tétrakis hydroxyméthyl phosphonium est un myxobactéricide qui offre une prévention efficace contre les biofilms microbiens dans les eaux de traitement, et ce, pour une vaste gamme de micro-organismes formant des biofilms. Le sulfate de tétrakis (hydroxyméthyl) phosphonium agit principalement en augmentant la perméabilité de la membrane externe de l'enveloppe de la cellule microbienne, ce qui entraîne la libération rapide de protéines et d'autres substances cellulaires par les cellules. En outre, le sulfate de tétrakis (hydroxyméthyl) phosphonium inhibe le processus de sulfatoréduction dans les bactéries réductrices de sulfate.
