Polyurea coatings are now becoming the performance standard in their field across the coatings industry. However, use of these coatings is often limited either by chemical hazard issues, the high reactivity of the isocyanate-amine reaction or the low reactivity of the aliphatic variants. A novel reaction pathway forms the basis for homogeneous or heterogeneous coatings prepared from low-hazard, single or multi-pack formulations which react in situ without the need for complex process equipment. |
